1. Pennant Point Trail

Location: Peggy’s Cove Coastal Region Sambro Creek

Access: Approximately 40 minutes drive away from Downtown Halifax

Overview: It stretches up to 11 km featuring 3 great white-sand beaches

2. Salt Marsh Trail

Location: Eastern Shore

3. Musquodoboit Trailways

Location: Musquodoboit Harbour, Eastern Shore

Overview: It begins at the Musquodoboit Railway Museum, then ventures off into several loops including the Admiral Lake Loop

4. Bluff Wilderness Trail

Location: Peggy’s Cove Coastal Region

Access: Approximately 25 to 30 minutes drive away from Downtown Halifax

Difficulty: Moderate to difficult

Type: Forest/ lake trail

Overview: It contains 4 loops that total around 30 km and features ecologically sensitive woodlands and barrens

5. Kearney Lake Trails

Location: Bedford-Sackville 

Access: Approximately 30 minutes drive away from Downtown Halifax

Difficulty: Moderate to difficult
